Not true.
The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty remains in effect for as long as you own the vehicle, provided you follow the warranty requirements and maintenance guidelines.
2. "These warranties never cover much."
Not true.
This warranty covers many of the vehicle's most expensive components, including the engine, transmission, drive axles, transfer case, and many hybrid/electric powertrain components.
3. "They'll try to deny claims because of the fine print."
Not true.
Coverage is straightforward when you follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, keep maintenance records, and obtain repair authorization when required.
4. "I'll end up paying out of pocket anyway."
Not necessarily.
Covered repairs are repaired or replaced for a $100 deductible per repair visit, helping protect you from many major powertrain repair costs.
5. "The dealer will force me to return for all maintenance."
Not true.
You may have your vehicle serviced anywhere. Simply follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule and retain your service records and receipts.

What's Covered
The powertrain is what makes your vehicle move. This warranty covers many of the vehicle's most important and expensive components.
  • Engine (Gas, Diesel, Turbo & Supercharged): Internal lubricated parts, water pump, oil pump, timing components, manifolds, engine mounts, turbochargers, superchargers, and more.
  • Transmission: Automatic, manual, and CVT internal components, torque converter, valve body, solenoids, transmission mounts, and related components.
  • Hybrid/Electric Drive Components: Electric motor/generators, inverter/converter units, electric coolant pumps, electric oil pumps, power split devices, and related internal components.
  • Drive Systems (4x4/AWD/FWD/RWD): Drive axles, differentials, transfer case components, CV joints, hub bearings, driveshafts, and universal joints.
  • Seals & Gaskets: Covered when associated with covered powertrain assemblies.
  • Additional Benefits: Towing reimbursement and substitute transportation reimbursement for covered breakdowns.
What's NOT Covered
This warranty protects specified powertrain components against mechanical breakdown. It is not a bumper-to-bumper warranty.
  • Normal Wear Items: Brake pads, brake rotors, tires, batteries, wiper blades, belts, hoses, spark plugs, and similar maintenance items.
  • Routine Maintenance: Oil changes, tune-ups, alignments, fluid flushes, filters, and scheduled maintenance services.
  • Cosmetic & Body Items: Paint, glass, rust, corrosion, dents, scratches, interior trim, body panels, bumpers, and weather-related deterioration.
  • Damage from External Causes: Accidents, collisions, fire, flood, theft, vandalism, storms, or other environmental events.
  • Abuse or Neglect: Damage resulting from lack of maintenance, improper fluids, overheating, misuse, racing, or modifications.
  • Prohibited Commercial Uses: Taxi service, delivery service, daily rental use, towing operations, commercial snowplowing, and similar excluded uses. Certain light commercial and rideshare uses may still qualify for coverage.
  • Salvage or Total-Loss Vehicles: Vehicles with salvage, junk, or total-loss titles are not eligible.

To maintain coverage, customers should:
  • Follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule.
  • Keep maintenance and repair records.
  • Address warning lights promptly.
  • Obtain authorization before covered repairs begin.
